‘Click’ Chemistry Wins Nobel Prize in Chemistry

Congratulations to Carolyn Bertozzi, Morten Meldal and Barry Sharpless for winning this years Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

Here at Apis Assay Technologies we have seen first hand how their ‘Click’ chemistry can be implemented into the field of biomarker discovery and diagnostics. Our Clickmer Systems team adopt the ‘Click’ chemistry approach to generate synthetic antibody analogues, or Clickmers, that bind to targets with high specificity and affinity. The simplicity of the ‘Click’ reaction means that Clickmers can easily be raised to the target of choice.
